2014年6月CET-4引发的对独立学院大学英语教学的思考

摘要

大学英语四级考试试卷调整的重要内容之一是将单句汉译英调整为内容涉及“中国历史、文化、经济、社会发展”的段落汉译英。2014年6月的四级考试引发了笔者的思考院我们仅仅为了学生过四级而备考式的教英语吗？本文认为，大学英语教学应该以四级改革为导向，改进课堂教学，以提高学生文化素养，适应我国社会发展和国际交流的需要。%The change from sentence translation to paragraph translation of “Chinese history,culture,economy and social development”is an important part in CET4 structure and item adjustment. A question is raised after the CET-4 in 2014, July: Is passing CET-4 the ultimate purpose of college English teaching? The paper points out that the purpose of college English teaching should be improve students' cultural quality to adapt the development of China's society and the need of international communication. It is proposed that the English class teaching should be promoted under the guidance of the change of CET-4.
