浅谈《了不起的盖茨比》中的黛西形象

摘要

Daisy, the heroine in the novel"The Great Gatsby"by Fitzgerald, is not only the unforgettable lover of Gatsby, but also the wife of rude Tom Buchanan, representing the rich class. She is a member of negative images if we judge from her personal be-haviors, voices and tones, and others' evaluation on her; she is also a pitiful victim if we further analyze the reasons forming her personality from such perspectives as society and patriarchal thinking;the figure is not only a reflection of the author's tragic outlook on life, but also an epitome of the American society.
