摘要

Both ISSR markers and enzymes indicate that higher levels of genetic diversity reside among populations of Lakeside daisy rather than within. Differences in allele frequencies with enzymes or ISSR marker frequencies within populations are the only basis for the higher among-population diversity levels. By chance, genetic drift may have generated the differences in allele or marker frequencies as the result of decreases in the size of populations and/or the fragmentation of larger populations which is very likely given the unprotected nature of most Lakeside daisy populations.
