Analysis of the Advantages and Drawbacks of PPP Approach in Teaching Grammar of a Second Language

摘要

This paper is aiming at analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of PPP approach in teaching L2 grammar. PPP approach, referring to the method of Presentation, Practice and Production, is one of the traditional language teaching instructions in classroom. There are advantages and drawbacks using PPP to teach grammar. It can benefit both L2 teachers and learners whereas it limits learner autonomy and the interaction among learners in language grammar teaching classroom.
