Applied Linguistics and English Teaching

摘要

Applied linguistics plays a very important role in English teaching,there are so many different definitions about applied linguistics,and the paper tries to discuss the relationship between applied linguistics and English teaching.Applied linguistics has been developing fast and has helped and guided foreign language teaching in many ways,especially in the field of second language acquisition.The paper intends to motivate teachers who should work hard to study applied linguistics theory and apply it properly in their teaching.
