探索名篇选读为导向的英国文学课程教学模式

摘要

It is one of the basic principles for instituions of higher learning to cultivate the humane qualities of their students, those majoring in English in particular. Such cultivation can also be regarded as the ultimate goal for establishing a university ori-ented for students’pursuit of lifelong learning as well as the development of their practical skills. Therefore, there appears a prob-lem yet to be solved in earnest, namely, how can teachers of English reform the course of English Literature and then divert their efforts to finding a new teaching mode of that course with selected masterpieces as their guide? This paper deals with some of the new ideas for the course reform on the basis of the problems found in teaching and for the purpose of improving our teaching work meant for junior and senior students of the English major.%人文素质的培养是高校英语专业人才培养的基本准则，也是实现教学型和应用型大学的目标定位及人才培养目标。如何将英语专业重要课程之一的《英国文学》课程改革落实到实处，是提高学生人文素质为导向的英语专业人才培养方案中迫切需要解决的问题。课题通过剖析高等学校英语专业英国文学课程教学中存在的问题，研究实践教学中侧重以名篇选读为导向的英国文学课程教与学的案例，探寻英国文学课程改革的新思路，以此促进高等学校英语专业的高年级整体教学。
