Language and Culture from the View of Color

摘要

When the political and economic exchanges happen between China and the West accompanied by the development of culture, and the differences in understanding of language can reflect the cultural differences of different countries. The interaction between language and culture is becoming more and more obvious. Words related to color are an entry point, from which we can fur-ther analyze the relationship between language and culture and the differences between Chinese and Western intercultural commu-nication. Through analyzing specifically the four colors related words'representatives of different meanings in Chinese and West-ern in order to achieve the purpose of identifying the important status of the cross-cultural communication.
