Classified cultivation of undergraduates of Biotechnology maior is not only the inevitabte choice for the teaching reform under the new situation of the tertiary education, it also represents a useful attempt of training students in accordance with their aptitude, meeting the their personal development and social needs of diversified talents, and realizing an effective teaching. The school-runnlng concept of being people-oriented, demand-based design, platform building, classified cultivation and diversified development must be followed. A flexible course system consisting of the ＇foundation platform ＆ direction modules＇ should be established in according to the principle of ＇accumulation of basic knowledge for the juniors and directed training for the seniors＇.
