远程、混合与在线学习驱动下的大学教育变革*--国际在线教育研究报告《迎接数字大学》深度解读

     

摘要

Although the craze for MOOCs is becoming more rationalized, there has been no general consensus on how best we should promote digital learning neither in terms of research nor practices in conventional universities. An international research team headed by George Siemens conducted a systematic research on the evolution of technology-driven education over the last century funded in part by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The research outcomes were published in February 2015 as a report entitled "Preparing for the Digital University: A Review of the History and Current State of Distance, Blended, and Online Learning". Our review first highlights the key issues covered in the report, with mind-map illustrations. These issues include distance education, blended learning, online learning, credentialing, MOOCs and future learning technology infrastructures. Then it moves on to the discussion of the value and implications of this report for reorienting teaching and learning particularly in higher education. Finally, we present a conceptual framework (called uMOOCS), developed by Tsinghua University researchers in line with our research in distance education, online learning and blended learning. It is our hope that such a proposed framework might advance our understanding of what entails in the learning and teaching in a digital age.%随着国际上MOOC热潮渐趋降温,如何理性开展技术促进教育变革的研究更需要有效共识。由盖茨基金会资助,乔治·西门子(George Siemens)主持开展了“MOOC研究计划”,并于2015年2月发布了题为《迎接数字大学:纵论远程、混合与在线学习》的研究报告。该报告全面综述了远程教育、混合学习、在线学习、认证与评估、MOOCs以及未来学习系统架构等6个方面的研究与实践成果,梳理了相关概念术语,讨论了所涉及的问题,初步预测了深化研究和实践创新的方向。该报告提出“创建数字大学”的意义在于推动现有大学应当顺应信息化发展趋势的挑战与机遇,变革大学教育形态。系统地解读这份国际在线教育研究报告,进一步明晰了技术促进教育变革,即大学教学改革将日益聚焦于混合教育新趋势,人类学习方式将迈向泛在学习新生态。因此,我国研究团队结合相关研究,提出“泛在式大规模开放在线教育体系”(即 uMOOCS)的概念以及实践框架,以适应符合时代发展的学习者“数字化学习”。
