广西壮族地区地中海贫血干预研究进展

摘要

Guangxi is one of the provinces of Southern China with the highest incidence of thalassemia.Thalassemia major has been one of the main birth defects, and is becoming main public heath problem in Guangxi. There is no effective therapy in clinic yet, thus,in order to reduce the birth defects effectively,it is essential to strengthen publicity, to implement screening and prenatal diagnosis for high-risk patients, and to terminate pregnancy of women pregnant with thalassemia major.%广西壮族地区是地中海贫血高发区,重型地中海贫血是广西壮族地区主要出生缺陷之一,已成为目前广西壮族地区一个重大公共卫生问题.该病目前缺少有效治疗方法,因而,大力宣传预防知识,让人们认识到其危害性,广泛实施婚前、产前筛查,对高危人群进行产前诊断,及早让妊娠重型地中海贫血患儿的孕妇终止妊娠,是降低出生缺陷的有效干预措施.
