Objective This study aims to investigate the clinical ef icacy of treating humeral shaft fractures with spinning-insertion intramedul ary nails (IM nails). Methods 24 patients with humeral shaft fractures were treated with antegrade self-locking IM nails. Results After performing fol ow-up surveys lasting for 18.2 months averagely,al fractures had healed up,with a mean healing period of 23.5 (21.4~24.7)weeks.The mean Constant score of the shoulder joint was 83.7 (76.9~89.6)and the mean Mayo score of the elbow joint was 93.3 (89.6~94.3),while the excel ent and good outcomes according to Neer scoring were 20 cases and 4 cases respectively. Conclusion By implementing antegrade fixation with spinning-insertion IM nails in humeral shaft fracture surgeries,pre-and post-operative damages and complications such as radial nerve injuries can be limited via more simplified surgical procedures.Such operations wil take less time, and can be applicable to both stable and comminuted fractures.Patients thus treated would heal up faster and radial nerve lesions can be also wel avoided for it wil be much easier to extract inner fixation via the reoperation.%目的:探讨旋人式髓内钉顺行治疗肱骨干骨折的临床疗效。
