与胡性能之前的作品相比，《消失的祖父》关注的焦点从普遍的人性退回到具体的历史之中，历史与叙事本身成为反思的对象。小说以一个抗战老兵跌宕起伏的历史命运和四代知识分子的精神史为线索，写出了作者对中国当代史的独到理解。%Compared with the previous works of Hu Xingneng ,the Lost Grandfather focuses on the specific history in‐stead of the universal human nature .In the fiction ,history and narrative itself becomes the object of reflection .This fic‐tion takes the historical fate of the ups and downs of the veteran and the spiritual history of the four generations of intel‐lectuals as two clues ,and w rites the author’s unique understanding of the contemporary Chinese history .
