中国学生难以习得英语时态的原因及对策探析——基于补缺假说的视角

摘要

时态是中国学生学习英语时经常碰到的困难之一。本文从补缺假说的角度重新审视了中国学生习得英语时态的过程,指出造成这一困难主要是由于英语语境的缺乏,导致汉语语境介入补缺并由此激活中国学生头脑中固有的汉语时态表达式,造成迁移。我们认为,英语时态教学应在强化英汉语时态表达式区别的基础上尽量向学习者输入不含时间状语的英语句子以培养其语境意识;同时适当补进英语语境知识,阻断汉语语境介入的途径,避免迁移的发生。%English tense is one of the difficulties of Chinese English learners＇.Based on Wang Chuming＇s Compensation Hypothesis,this paper reconsiders the process of English Tense Acquisition,and points out that the main obstacle is the lack of English context,which leads to the compensation of Chinese context,thus negative transfer occurs.Therefore,in English Tense Teaching,teachers are suggested to present learners English sentences without adverbials of time,giving learners chances to experience English Tense within the context of the English sentences themselves.
