Wang Fanzhi’s Poems in the copy of Dunhuang handwritings, characterized by the spoken language na-ture, the definite era, and the clarity of language system, are rare, important linguistic materials in the study of Chi-nese history. New words and words acquiring new meanings make up about one fourth of the total in his poems, which reflects the real feature of the lexicons in the Tang dynasty. The word building patterns of the new words are obviously different from those in Shishuo Xinyu (世说新语), and are consistent with the modern Chinese. In addi-tion, the lexical study of his poems can supplement the collection, interpretation and exemplification of words in large dictionaries.%敦煌写卷王梵志诗因其表达的口语性、时代的确定性和语言系统的明晰性等特点而成为汉语史研究不可多得的重要语料。王梵志诗中的新词新义占其总词汇量的1/4强，反映出唐代汉语词汇的真实面貌。王梵志诗新词的构成方式，与《世说新语》的差异较为明显，与现代汉语基本一致，这是汉语史研究的新发现。王梵志诗词汇研究还可补大型辞书和断代词典在收词、释义、例证晚出等方面的不足。
