摘要:This study aims to correct, supplement, and polish the General Catalogue of the Bafengya Grottoes in Longnan.Although opinions differ about the time of these grottoes construction, a comprehensive investigation suggests that construction began during the Northern Wei dynasty and continued through the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties as the caves were rebuilt, repainted, or renovated. The caves, niches, and statues were made in line with local conditions and exhibit many characteristics of the area. The caves are generally rectangular, while most ceilings are irregular in shape. The extant 14 caves house 175 statues of different sizes (142 of which date from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties), 18 square meters of wall paintings dating from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and 7 stelae dating from the Ming, Qing and the Republic of China eras.%陇南八峰崖石窟的创始年代尚存争议,但经综合分析可以认为,石窟始凿于北魏时期,唐、宋、元、明、清各代继续开凿或重修、重塑、重绘。
