西方视觉传播研究的焦点问题与趋势展望

     

摘要

通过分析西方视觉传播研究领域两份主要学术期刊Visual Communication与Visual Communication Quarterly2008-2017年发表的学术论文, 梳理西方视觉传播的历史脉络与研究现状, 总结出四大焦点问题:视觉新闻影像 (真实与象征) 、视觉设计符号 (观念与态度) 、视觉修辞话语 (建构与表征) 、视觉传播理性 (伦理与道德) ;反思视觉传播发展历程, 还存在着研究场域相对狭窄、研究视角有限、研究方法受到局限等问题;展望视觉传播研究趋势, 研究框架将从单一题域向全域生态系统拓展, 研究领域将从学科局限向多元跨界演进, 研究场景将从传统业态向沉浸式多模态交互革新.%Through the analysis of the scholarly articles published by Visual Communication and Visual Communication Quarterly (2008-2017) , two major academic journals in the field of visual communication in the West, we sum up four major themes upon which visual communication has focused:visual news images (truth and symbol) , visual design symbols (concepts and attitudes) , visual rhetorical discourse (construction and representation) , and visual ethics (ethics and morality).It is found that there are still some problems in visual communication research, such as relatively narrow field of study, limited research perspective and limitations of research methods.By analyzing the research trend of visual communication on this basis, we expect that the research framework will be expanded from a single topic domain to a whole ecosystem, the research field will evolve from the discipline limitation to multi-boundary, and the research scene will be innovated from the traditional business mode to the immersive multi-modal interaction.
