网络效应下顾客分布不均匀的企业兼并研究

     

摘要

Based on the Salop circular city model, the influence of enterprises' horizontal merger on the price competition behavior was discussed on the condition of heterogeneous distribution of consumer. Under the network externality character circumstance, the motive of enterprises' horizontal merger and the change of social welfare before and after the merger were analyzed. The results show that most enterprises have the motive to merge in order to gain more profit. Their merger is unfavorable to those enterprises which are not engaged in merger. The policy decision of price for enterprises and the change of social welfare depend on the level of the network effect.%基于Salop环形城市模型,研究了消费者分布不均匀时,多个企业在网络效应环境下横向兼并对企业价格竞争的影响,并在此基础上讨论了企业横向兼并的动机以及兼并前后社会福利的变化.结论显示,在网络外部效应环境下,企业普遍具有兼并动机,横向兼并使未兼并企业在竞争中处于不利地位;厂商价格竞争行为取决于不同网络外部效应对厂商的影响程度;网络外部效应的大小决定了社会福利的变化.
