Based on interviews and questionnaires in accords to Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale(FLCAS),this study attempts to investigate empirically the listening anxiety among 60 English major students in University of Science and Technology,Liao Ning,focusing on the degree of the anxiety and the relationship between anxiety and listening score.According to the research,it is found that most college students majoring in English experience a large amount of listening anxiety in the process of learning English listening,and listening anxiety is negatively correlated with listening proficiency.The purpose of this study also explores possible sources of anxiety and puts forward some teaching methods and strategies in order to ease the students’ anxiety in listening and try to improve the listening teaching for students.%采用定量和定性相结合的分析方法,利用英语焦虑量表(FLCAS)和访谈作为测试工具对辽宁科技大学60名英语专业学生英语听力焦虑程度与听力水平之间的关系进行了调查。调查结果显示,听力焦虑策略与听力测试成绩呈负相关,且达到了显著水平;低分组学生中的听力焦虑问题比高分组更加突出,即听力焦虑感越强,测试成绩越差。根据调查结果,还探讨了焦虑可能的成因并提出有效的教学手段和应对策略,对大学英语听力教学和提高学习者听力水平都有一定的现实指导意义。
