Contemporary Jewish American writers have gained great achievements, manifesting their Jewishness in their deep trauma, powerful traditional Judaism, strong sense of identity and family values. Donald Margulies, a contemporary prolific playwright, has written more than 20 plays since 1980s and received his Pulitzer prize in 2000.
