南社作家姜可生曾任报刊主笔与创办者，在近代文学具有一定贡献，然学界长期缺乏关注。其小说作品，尤以侠情题材最受注目。侠情之“侠”，可上溯中国“侠义”文化传统，在其有关“侠”之作品，不只展现救国赤诚，亦具革新、救国意识。此外，其作品对个人性情之重视，才子佳人题材之描写，均可见情感与其作品之关连。本文探讨姜可生侠情小说革新意识与当时革命思潮、社会风气间的关系，并对其中之男女情感、女性角色等新旧过渡风格进行讨论，进而了解近代小说创作特色与社会环境。%JIANG Kesheng(1893-1959), a native of Danyang, Jiangsu Province, joined Nanshe in 1912, whose novels and poems reached an impressive and influential amount .As a newspaper and periodical editor and founder in the early Republican China, JIANG’s literary works contributed greatly to early modern Chinese literature .Unfortunately, his works had long failed to draw enough attention in the academia .JIANG was especially good at chivalric novels .His chivalric spirit and romance could be traced back to Chinese chivalric cultural tradition .He depicted not only the nation -saving passion , but also a keen renovation conscientiousness .Besides, deliberate attention was paid to individual personalities and scholar -beauty romance , all of which revealed a robust link between his emotion and his literary writing .This article mainly aims at the relationships between Jiang ’ s chivalric novels and revolutionary thoughts and social customs at that time , with a special focus on male -female emotions and women ’ s status in his novels .This helps a deeper understanding of the characteristics and social circumstances in early Republi -can China , while enhancing and enriching polarized Nanshe studies at the same time .
