Ouyang Xiu is recognized as a leader of literature in the Song Dynasty, and he is one the of repre-sentative figures in the ancient prose movement of the Northem Song Dynasty. He has written many articles, which involve various fields. As a prominent writer of practical writings, the majority of his writing style is practical writing. Ouyang xiu has not only defined the basic properties of practical writing from the aspects of literary forms and literary application, also constructed the general framework of practical writing theory, which advocates practical writing should be practical, concise, appropriate.
