从意识形态操纵论看翻译的文化构建1--以林译小说为例

摘要

Instead of merely being a process of language conversion, translation is rather a process of cultural communication, negotiation and construction as well. It is more scientific and dialectical to analyze novels translated by Lin Shu from a perspective of ideological manipulation. The present study has found that trans-lators’choice of translation strategies and cultures are affected by hisher social, political and cultural back-ground and cultural values, etc. To study cultural construction, priority should be given to translators’subjec-tivity and readers’cultural expectation, and the translator must dialectically tackle the two cultures involved in translation.%翻译不是简单的语言转换，更是一个文化对话、协商和构建的过程。从意识形态的操纵可以更科学、辩证地看待林译小说。通过分析发现，译者自身的社会、政治、文化背景、文化观念等影响了译者的翻译策略及文化选择。研究翻译的文化构建作用，要重视译者主体性、读者的文化期待，并辩证地对待翻译涉及的两种文化。
