文化缺省的形式补偿和意义补偿策略探析--以《红楼梦》咏物诗为例

Compensation for cultural default refers to the restoration or supplement of the absence of relevant background knowledge shared by the writer and his intended readers. The thesis divides the compensation for cultural default into structural compensation and meaning compensation. By comparing the translation compensation in Hawkes’version and Yangs’version of the object poems in Hong Lou Meng, some strategies for the two kinds of compensation are introduced. Strategies for structural compensation are alliteration, consonance and rhyme, while strategies for meaning compensation are amplification, annotation,paraphrasing and omission of cultural images.%　　文化缺省补偿是指在翻译过程中对原作者在与其意向读者交流时对双方共有的相关文化背景知识的省略进行修复或补充。本文根据文化缺省补偿对象的不同将其分为形式补偿和意义补偿。以霍译本和杨译本对《红楼梦》咏物诗的翻译补偿为例，探析总结形式补偿策略，即头韵法、辅韵法和韵脚法，以及意义补偿策略，即增益法、注释法、释义法和意象舍弃法。
