华裔美国女作家王屏是近年活跃于美国文坛的诗人和小说家。她的作品先后获得多个美国艺术奖和图书奖。她的第1部短篇小说集以半自传的方式,描写了一个中国家庭的生活以及年轻女性的成长经历。小说用英语写作,却大量地引入中文俗语,在母族文化和主流体制下进行妥协与迂回,从而形成了独特的艺术特色。%Wang Ping is an active Chinese-American writer in recent years.As a poet and novelist,she won several American awards and Art Book Awards.Her first collection of short stories describes a Chinese family life and the upbringing of a young women in a semi-autobiographical way.The novel is written in English,but she introduces lots of Chinese sayings and featured terms.With this kind of circuitous narrative,her story appears a unique artistic features between the native culture and dominant culture.
