English phonological awareness is one of important elements of vocabulary acquisition. The vocabulary acquisition of primary students is just at the stage of "Critical Period Hypothesis". Generally speaking, the former studies have certified the functions of phonological loop in vocabulary acquisition. The paper will prove the relativity of phonological awareness and vocabulary short-term memory based on the empirical study.%英语语音意识是词汇习得成功与否的重要因素之一。小学生的词汇习得正处于“关键期假说”的阶段。总体而言,先前的研究已经证明了语音回路在词汇习得中的作用,笔者在以往理论研究的基础上开展了实证研究,以期证明语音意识与词汇短时记忆具有相关性。
