英文报刊灾难新闻的文体特征研究--以《纽约时报》地震新闻为例

Based on the modern theories of stylistics, the paper intends to investigate the stylistic features of English disaster news. Both of quantitative and qualitative analytical methods are used to analyze eight Eng⁃lish disaster news reports about earthquake in The New York Times on lexical, grammatical and graphological levels respectively. It is found that on lexical level, a lot of numbers and vocabulary concerning disasters occur. On grammatical level, active voice and past tense are often used. On graphological level, the length of dis⁃course, paragraph and sentence is relatively long. Besides, commas and quotation marks are also employed fre⁃quently.%本研究应用现代文体学理论，采用定量分析与定性分析相结合的研究方法，分别从词汇、语法、字系3个层面对8篇来自《纽约时报》的地震新闻报道进行分析，旨在探索报刊灾难新闻英语的文体特征。研究结果表明：在词汇方面大量出现数字和灾难相关词语；在语法方面以主动语态和过去时态为主；字系特征为语篇较长、段落多、句子偏长，多用逗号和引号。
