Through analyzing the traditional teaching methods of English grammar, this paper discussed how to develop and construct a computer - assisted material system for college English grammar, such as College English grammar software, multi - dimensional textbooks, teaching plans and software for self - testing. It suggested that a computer - assisted material system for College English Gram- mar, combined with modern teaching techniques, has advantages and functions beyond the possibilities of the traditional textbooks.
