In the study of Chinese Philosophy, there is a presumption that philosophers are healthy robust people. Yet few studies focus on the influence of philosophers' bodies on their philosophy though the influence does exist. Take Jiao Hong as an example. Jiao boasted a healthy body all his life, therefore he was curious on the philosophical problems and able to break through the experiential way of Taizhou School to embark on a new cognitive way. As to the relationship between body and philosophy, the philosophers in the Late Ming Dynasty can be divided into two types: the cognitive philosophers with a healthy body who, represented by Jiao Hong, chose the cognitive way in philosophy; the experiential philosophers with an unhealthy body who, represented by the three Yuan brothers from Gong'an, chose the experiential way in philosophy.%中国哲学研究中存在一种预设,即将哲学家视为身体健康、精力充沛的人,很少涉及身体状况对哲学家思想的影响,但这种影响确实存在.
