During Republic of China,with developed economy and peaceful life,tea-houses and some subsidiary entertainment industries were very prosperous in Jiangnan towns.Although influenced by wars, economic fluctuations and modernization,tea-house industry still strongly continued in the local social life. It is acknowledged that,since the traditional times,tea-houses themselves have been equipped with the functions of leisure, entertainment, information dissemination and so on, so they have provided an excellent platform for the construction of information channel and the fabric of life.Tea-houses can gather people,things and information in a relaxing way,which not only satisfies people's respective needs but also produces some pleasure outside of family life.The differences between living conditions and consumption levels in different towns can affect the development of tea-house industry. However, the leisure entertainment and information dissemination remain to be the main contents in tea-house life,which also becomes a basic memory of tea-houses in later generations.%民国时期江南城镇经济经济发达,生活昌盛,茶馆及其附属的书场娱乐业十分繁荣.尽管因战争、经济波动及其现代化因素等多方面的影响,茶馆业在地方社会生活中依然有力地维续着.从传统时代以来茶馆本身秉具的休闲、娱乐以及信息传布等方面的功能,为时人所认同,因而对于信息渠道的搭建、生活网络的布织,都提供了极好的平台.茶馆可以将人、物、资讯以比较轻松的方式集中起来,人们据以获得各自的需求,同时满足在家庭生活之外的一些逸乐.虽然不同城镇的生活景况与消费水平之差别,会较大地影响茶馆业的发展,但生活消闲、讯息交流仍是茶馆生活的主要内容,也构成了后世人们对茶馆的基本记忆.
