Shen Congwen' s literary creating style changed a lot with the aggravation of his dis- ease, especially in the middle of the 1940s, a time when he created "pleasing crazy" works such as Record of Seeing the Rainbow, Green Nightmare and The Lotus, and produced super logical ideological propositions of "god" and "life".
