20世纪上半叶中国社会的转型、小城独特的文化形态，赋予年轻的果园城人寻求合理人生、实现人生价值的机遇和勇气。他们追逐梦想，渴望爱情，希望成就自我、收获幸福人生。艰难的生存环境和种种现实的羁绊使这些合理需求受到层层阻碍。自我价值的终极失落成为“果园城”人生的写照。%During the first half of the 20th century,China was in the social transitional period.Be-sides,the Ochard City has its unique cultural morphology.Both of them endowed the teenagers in the Ochard city with courage and opportunity to seek and realize their life values.They chasing dreams,longing for love,and hoping to achieve and wishing to harvest the happiness in their life-time.Nevertheless,surviving in a hard environment and sorts of fetters blocked their steps of pursuing for reasonable requirements.Ultimately,people in the Ochard city failed to achieve their life-values.
