从礼貌原则看人物语言--以欧・亨利的《最后一片叶子》为例

Analyzing characters'language in the literary writings from the perspective of pragmatics ,we can use Leech's politeness principle to deepen our study .This paper takes the work The Last Leaf , written by O .Henry ,as an example .We may find out some illocutionary meanings between the lines of the characters'language with six standards of the politeness principle .So we can better understand the implied meanings w hich the author w ants to express by conversations and silence .Learning to use the politeness principle to analyze and study the characters'language can not only deepen our under‐standing of the literary works ,but also effectively guide our daily life and social communication .%从语用学的视角来分析文学作品中的人物语言，可以运用利奇（L eech ）的礼貌原则加以深入研究。文章以欧・亨利的作品《最后一片叶子》为例，使用礼貌原则的六个准则分析了蕴含在字里行间中的言外之意，由此可以更好地理解这一文学作品所想表达的隐含意义。从礼貌原则角度进行人物语言的分析和研究，不仅可以加深对文学作品的领会，也可以更好地指导日常生活和社会交际。
