英语政治演讲中情态动词的人际意义研究

摘要

Based on Halliday＇s interpersonal function of systemic-functional grammar, this paper is designed to investigate how interpersonal meaning is realized, by modal auxiliaries. The samples of Churchill＇s first three speeches delivered in World War II are taken in which the frequency of modal auxiliaries and the deep interpersonal meaning have been analyzed, and the relationship between the modal auxiliaries and the interpersonal meaning is demonstrated.%以韩礼德系统功能语法中的人际功能理论为基础，选用丘吉尔二战初期的三篇著名演讲稿为语料，采用量化和描述的研究方法，对情态动词在演讲语篇中出现的频率及其体现的人际意义进行分析、归纳，以说明情态动词与人际意义的实现之间的关系。
