摘要

This paper shows how the urban morphology discipline developed and its academic achievements in Birmingham University for benefiting the construction and development of the same discipline in the universities of China.%我国高校城市形态学科建设正处于初始阶段,与国际知名大学差距明显.该文通过介绍英国伯明翰大学的简况及其在城市形态学方面的发展背景、发展特点及学术研究所取得的显著成果,为国内城市形态学研究发展提供借鉴与参考.
