转型应用技术型大学是新建民办高校发展的必然选择，其转型发展的突破口是专业转型发展。专业是人才培养的基本载体和主要依托，专业转型发展是应用技术型大学培养高层次技术型人才的重点和关键。通过对新建民办高校办学定位及市场对机械专业人才需求分析，提出“机制”专业转型发展的关键、重点、保障、途径和平台，通过强化专业内涵建设，促进专业建设水平的提升，突出培养学生工程技术应用能力，培养高层次技术型人才。%Transformation of colleges and universities of applied sciences is an inevitable choice for the development of newly-built private colleges and universities;the breakthrough of transformation and development lies on that of the majors.The major is the basic carrier and major support for fostering talents,while the transformation and development of the major are the em-phasis and key point for fostering high-level technical talents in various colleges and universities of applied sciences.Through the analysis on the school-running orientation of newly-built private colleges and universities as well as the demand of the market on mechanical professional talents,the article proposes the key points,emphasis,assurance,channels and platforms re-lated to the transformation and development of"mechanical and manufacture"major,and promotes the increase of professional construction level,attaches great importance on fostering the engineering technology application capability of the students,as well as fosters high-level technical talents through intensifying professional connotation construction.
