据现有文献记载,"黄河"一词最早出现在《汉书》中,《史记》及其之前的所有文献都没有"黄河"这一称谓,而是称为"河".从"河"到"黄河", 不仅是一个以新名词代替旧称号的问题,实质上是一个巨大的转变,表面上看是因水颜色而导致其名称的转变,实际上反映了中国古代社会历史的变迁和生态环境的变化.这一转变是一种不合理开发自然资源的结果,是社会发展与自然界冲突(人地矛盾)以及两个文明碰撞的结果.它反映的不仅是社会历史的变迁,也是生态环境的变迁.黄河两岸黄土高原地区的农业开发及其先天脆弱的环境是"河"成为"黄河"这一转变的两个主要因素.%According to the materials carried, the word "Huanghe firstly appeared in Hanshu, before Shiji and all other reference books, there were no such naming as "Huanghe",it was called as "He". From He to Huanghe, it is not only a new word taking the place of the old one, it is really a great change, from the surface, it is because of the water which is changed by its color, it actually reflected the ancient China's change by the society and its biological change.This change is a unreasonable result of developing natural resources. It's a contradiction between social development and nature(people and earth's contradiction) and the fighting between two civilization. It not only reflects the transferring of social history, but also the changes of ecosystem or the environment. The agricultural development along the banks of Huanghe river by Huangtu plateau and its weak environment of He becoming Huanghe, these are two main reasons of changing.
