Guican 8, a new silkworm variety, was bred from 24 pairs of hybrid combinations of 13 pure silkworms with bivoltine and multivoltine under the high temperature and humidity condition after five generations in two years. The most characters of Guican 8 was better than CK (Liangguang 2) in different comparative tests. Guican 8 was approved by Guizhou Crops Variety Examination Committee in 12, 2010. Guican 8 can be raised in the southern part of Guizhou province.%为选育出适宜贵州南部地区特殊气候环境养殖的新蚕品种应用于生产,推动贵州蚕业的发展,通过对13个二化性带多化性血统的家蚕纯种材料经2年5代人工高温多湿逆境定向培育改良,组配了24对杂交组合,选育出了责蚕8号.该品种在各级试验中表现优良,多数性状优于对照两广二号,于2010年12月通过贵州省农作物品种审定委员会审定,适宜贵州南部地区高温多湿条件下饲养.
