In view of the teaching models for the course of College Chemistry for non-chemistry majors, the selection of teaching contents, the role of instructors, the employment of experiments, the role of students and the evaluation system were discussed. Combined with the first hand teaching experience from university teaching, it was suggested that we should emphasize the infiltration of subjects and the relationship between chemistry and daily life, mobilize students’ enthusiasm, cultivate students’ ability to acquire knowledge independently, and cultivate students’ scientific literacy and innovative spirit.%化学是自然科学的基础,面向非化学专业理工本科生开设的《大学化学》,其目的不是为了培养专业的化学工作者,而要把培养学生的科学素养和创新精神放在首位。针对该课程的教学特点,笔者从教学内容的甄选、教师的角色、实验的作用、学生的参与和考核机制等方面进行探讨。结合高校一线教师的教学经验,提出应该注重学科之间的渗透及与生活的联系,调动学生的积极性,培养学生独立获取知识的能力,培养学生的科学素养和创新精神。
