A high resolution scheme(GVC) for solving hyperbolic conservation laws is described in this paper. In order to prevent the nonphysical oscillations in the vicinity of the shock the group velocity control method(GVC) is used. The reason of oscillation production in numerical solutions is nonuniformity of group velocity of wave packets. The technique can be used in TVD schemes or the uniformly second order schemes to obtain high shock resolution.
