Objective To understand the death cases and the main causes of death in a hospital, to provide the basis for further prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and to reduce the mortality rate of patients.Methods SPSS18.0 and R3.4.3 software were used to analyze the trend of death rate, the age and sex composition of death cases, the cause of death and the order of death in 2093 inpatients from 2009 to 2016.Results The mortality rate of inpatients in a hospital decreased from 1.13% in 2009 to 0.47% in 2016. The total mortality rate was 0.68%. The mortality rate did not decrease significantly with the increase of year (P＞0.05). The mortality ratio between male and female was 2.08: 1,χ2=286.092 (P＜ 0.01), the difference was statistically significant. The top five causes of death were tumor, circulatory diseases, injuries, poisoning and some other consequences of external causes, urogenital diseases and respiratory diseases.Conclusion The mortality rate of inpatients in a certain hospital is relatively low, the age of the dead patients is concentrated in the age of 40 or above, and the cancer is the leading cause of death. According to this information, the relevant departments should allocate the medical resources in the hospital in a timely manner in order to reduce the mortality rate of the patients. At the same time, we should pay attention to the quality of disease coding, in order to more accurate statistical information.%目的 了解某院住院死亡病例的情况以及主要死亡原因顺位,为进一步开展疾病的预防与诊治,降低患者死亡率提供依据.方法 用SPSS18.0和R3.4.3软件对2009年-2016年2093份住院死亡病例的病死率趋势变化、死亡病例的年龄与性别构成、死亡病例的死因构成及顺位情况进行统计分析.结果 某院住院患者病死率从2009年的1.13%下降到2016年的0.47%,总病死率为0.68%,病死率随年份的增加无显著降低趋势,P＞0.05;病死率男女之间比例为2.08:1,χ2=286.092,P＜0.01,差异有统计学意义;前5位死因分别为:肿瘤、循环系统疾病、损伤、中毒和外因的某些其他后果、泌尿生殖系统疾病和呼吸系统疾病.结论 某院住院患者死亡率较低、死亡患者年龄集中在40岁以上、肿瘤居死因顺位之首,有关部门应根据此信息对院内医疗资源进行适时的调配,以降低患者的病死率,同时应注意疾病编码的质量,以便更加准确的统计相关信息.
