Objective To investigate the long-term effect of the tinnitus patients treated with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and its pertinent factors. Method We followed up 124 tinnitus patients who called on the Tinnitus Specialty Clinic at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of TCM in 2008 to 2011 by telephone. The effect was evaluated by the admissive scale in China and the datas was analyzed by SPSS 16.0. Result In short-term therapeutic effect, 5(4.0%) tinnitus patients had been cured, 13(10.5%) significant effect, 43(34.7%) effective, 63(50.8%) ineffective and the total effective rate was 49.2%. After about 32.3 months discontinued therapy on average, the corresponding cases were 22(17.7%), 23(18.6%), 57(46.0%), 22(17.7%) respectively, and the total effective rate was up to 82.3%. According to the statistic and analysis, the tinnitus frequency, hearing loss or not, the duration of illness, the course of treatment and the tinnitus score at discontinued treatment moment were differential between the recovered patients and the unrecovered patients (P﹤0.05). While the gender, age, tinnitus threshold, tinnitus loudness, friedman curve type, residual inhibition test’s result, TCM syndrome type, tinnitus score at first-visit moment and the follow-up time in two groups had no significant difference (P﹥0.05). The principal component analysis showed that the course of treatment, the course of disease and hearing loss or not were the first principal component with the 28.749% contribution value. But between the effective patients and the invalid patients, only tinnitus score at first-visit moment had difference (P﹤0.05). The other factors had no significant difference(P﹥0.05). Conclusion It has a good effect for tinnitus patients treated with TCM and the longer the better. This study also showed that the factors, including the course of treatment, the course of disease and hearing loss or not, influenced the long-term effect of tinnitus. The tinnitus score at first and last-visit moment might also have some influence on the long-term effect .%目的：调查中医综合治疗耳鸣的远期疗效，并探讨影响远期疗效的相关因素。方法使用电话联系的方式对2008年至2011年就诊于广州中医药大学第一附属医院耳鸣专科门诊的124例耳鸣患者进行远期随访，采用国内较为公认的耳鸣评价量表进行疗效评价，所得数据用SPSS 16.0统计学软件进行数据统计分析。结果近期耳鸣消失者5例（4.0%），显效13例（10.5%），有效43例（34.7%），无效63例（50.8%），总有效率为49.2%；平均停止治疗达32.3个月后，远期耳鸣消失者22例（17.7%），显效23例（18.6%），有效57例（46.0%），无效22例（17.7%），总有效率为82.3%。经统计学分析，耳鸣消失与否两组间数据差异有统计学意义的因素主要有耳鸣声频率、是否伴听力损失、病程、疗程及停诊时耳鸣评分（P﹤0.05），而性别、年龄、耳鸣主调声听阈、耳鸣主调声响度、佛德曼曲线类型、残余抑制试验、中医证型、初诊时耳鸣评分和随访时间差异均无统计学意义（P﹥0.05）。主成分分析结果显示第一主成分主要包含疗程、病程、是否伴听力损失的信息，贡献率28.749%。耳鸣获效与否两组间数据差异有统计学意义的因素只有初诊时耳鸣评分（P﹤0.05），余各因素差异均无统计学意义（P﹥0.05）。结论中医综合治疗耳鸣具有较好的疗效，其疗效随时间推移而持续发挥作用，是一个长期受益过程。病程、疗程、是否伴听力损失等因素对耳鸣远期疗效有一定的影响，初诊及停诊时的耳鸣程度对于远期疗效也可能有一定的影响。
