Ladies holding T-shaped sticks are commonly seen in mural paintings from Tang dynasty tombs in the Guanzhong region and Shanxi province. The function of these sticks has been yet uncertain to scholars. The current author does a research of historical documents and archaeological findings and points out that such sticks were probably used for supporting hanging scrolls. The origin of painting supporters is traced in this article as well.%关中及山西唐代壁画墓中,常见绘有手持丁字形长杖的仕女壁画。目前,学术界对丁字杖的用途尚未有定论。本文通过检索历史文献并结合考古材料,推测其是古时展障之画又,并对画叉的起源作了探究。
