The concept and working principle of wide area phase measurement is introduced. The application of this tech-nology applied in power system stable monitor （power angle real-time monitor） and application prospect in other fields are discussed.%阐述广域相量测量技术的概念以及工作原理，介绍该技术在电力系统稳定监测（即功角实时监测）及其它领域的应用前景。
