On Cross-Cultural Transmission in the Modern Era:Perspectives Based on Pluralism,Ecologism and Globalism

The world we are confronting is full of kinds of contradictions and conflicts in spite of peace and development here and there.Concerning cross-cultural transmission which is in context of nation-to-nation perspective,the previous studies have probed into this issue in theoretical analysis and practical experience while the present situation still dissatisfies us,particularly when cultural differences are taken into account.Thus,it is of necessity to discuss how to make multicultural coexistence possible in the modern context.This paper,first of all,probes into characteristics of Chinese and western cultures,and then dwells on approaches apphcable to address social and cultural problems under guidance of pluralism,ecologism and globalism.Under such circumstances,human civilization and integration could be achieved by filtering obstacles among different nations,cultures,ideologies,etc.,which tends to be evaluated by ecological and global vision in the modern era.
