School *enrollment and school administration: A simulation exercise for school administration.

摘要

This paper reviews the literature on the use of simulation as a learning strategy in an academic program aimed at developing educational administrators. The historical development, effectiveness and use of the strategy at Teachers College are presented.;An exercise focused upon the dilemma of reorganization of schools for communities and school administrators is described along with materials needed to conduct the simulation. This exercise is based upon the changing enrollment pattern confronting a community. A criterion for the evaluation of the exercise is described. Finally, the use of the simulation with a cohort of prospective school administrators is examined.
