译介学视角下理雅各《诗经》译本中文化意象研究

摘要

20世纪70年代，翻译研究的文化转向意味着文学翻译不只是一种语言间的转化，而是一种跨文化的交际活动。译介学作为比较文学中研究文学翻译的分支学科，所强调的已不是传统的“信、达、雅”，而是去窥探文学翻译中文化信息的失落与变形等问题。译介学为研究者提供了一种新的视角去研究文学翻译及翻译文学，进而思考异质文化交流的深层问题。　　作为中国古代第一部诗歌总集，《诗经》是中国文学的瑰宝，奠定了中国两千年来诗歌创作和发展的基础。《诗经》的英译本是西方研究中国文学的开端，对于传播中华民族灿烂文化有着深远的意义。理雅各是第一个系统地研究、翻译中国古代经典的西方人，在西方汉学界占有重要地位。作为十九世界最具影响力的汉学家，理雅各翻译的《诗经》一直是西方了解中国古代文学的标准译本。随着国外汉学研究的深入，各学界对理雅各及其《诗经》译本的关注和研究日益增多。国内外学者研究理雅各《诗经》英译本主要从语言层面出发，对单个或多个译本进行研究。相对而言，从跨文化视角对理雅各《诗经》译介的研究还有待深入。　　本文主要运用文本细读和文化研究的方法，从译介学的视角，分析了理雅各《诗经》英译本中文化意象的传递与失落，及译者的文化背景在文本中的呈现。通过研究分析得出以下几点结论:首先，理雅各对文化意象的传递主要采取异化及加注的翻译策略;其次，理雅各对文化意象传递的失落是源于对中国文化的误读与误释;最后，这种误读与误释源于东西方文化中对人文持有的不同态度。该论文是译介学应用于中国古典诗歌翻译研究的一次尝试，进而指出理雅各对文化典籍的翻译为中国古代诗歌翻译提供了一个典范;给中国学界提供一个与国际汉学界对话的重要平台。　　全文由以下五部分构成:　　第一章引言部分介绍了本文的研究背景、研究方法、研究目的、意义及论文框架。第二章是本文的文献综述。主要简介理雅各及其《诗经》英译本，并简要概括理雅各《诗经》英译本的国内外研究现状，以及本文主要的创新之处。第三章是本文的理论基础，重点介绍了译介学的基本概念及译介学中的创造性叛逆及文化意象。第四章则从译介学的角度探讨理雅各《诗经》译本中的文化意象的传递与失落。本章首先对诗经的文化意象进行分类;其次，对理雅各《诗经》译本中有关婚恋、宗教及政治制度等文化意象的翻译进行对比研究，并探讨在翻译过程中文化意象的变形与失落;最后，通过对比中西文明对人文的不同态度剖析翻译中文化意象失落的原因。第五章对于以上研究做出总结，及简要说明本文的不足与有待进一步研究的方面。
