音乐专业和舞蹈专业学生英语词汇学习策略的比较研究——以宁波外事学校为例

摘要

随着艺术教育在中国的繁盛，在高中就读的艺术生数量在过去几十年间迅速增长。然而，在日常教学中，艺术班的英语教师往往会发现一个奇怪的现象:尽管经过相同的英语训练和辅导，舞蹈专业学生的英语课堂的学习表现和英语测验成绩总是不如音乐专业的学生。
　　理论上，英语词汇策略的使用状况是影响英语词汇习得与英语学习成果的最重要因素之一，这是学术界长久以来共识。因此，本文对比了职业高中音乐专业学生与舞蹈专业学生的词汇学习策略，尝试从词汇学习策略的角度提高两个专业学生在英语学习上的表现。
　　本文以问卷的形式对宁波外事学校音乐和舞蹈专业学生进行调查。共收到90份有效问卷，其中54份来自音乐专业，36份来自舞蹈专业。本研究以李宋吴(2003)的中学英语词汇学习策略量表为基础，作为数据收集的工具。
　　通过研究，本文试图回答以下三个问题:1、音乐专业学生和舞蹈专业学生在词汇学习的选择和使用上是否存在显著不同？2、如果存在不同，分别是哪些方面？3、相应地，这两个专业的学生和他们的英语教师该如何提高词汇学习策略的使用状况？
　　经过对调查问卷所得数据的详细比较以及分析后，文本得出以下结论:1、总的来说，音乐专业学生使用词汇学习策略的频率大于舞蹈专业学生。2、两个专业学生在认知策略、元认知策略、资源策略和应用策略的使用上存在显著不同，然而在记忆策略的使用上，没有显著差别。3、两个专业的学生的词汇策略使用频率都远远不够，尤其是活用策略。因此，在英语教学中，教师应加强对学生学习策略训练，尤其是活用策略，并且在训练时（如果条件允许）注意分层教学以满足两个专业学生的不同特点和需求。
　　本文共包含五章内容。第一章主要介绍了本研究的研究背景以及研究目的和意义。第二章为文献综述，简要地回顾了国内外英语词汇学习策略上的相关研究。第三章阐述具体的研究设计，主要陈述了研究的问题、研究的对象、研究的方法和研究的步骤以及相关数据的收集和整理等。第四章则通过对本研究所得到的数据进行分析与讨论，呈现研究的结果。本文的数据分析分为两个主要部分:先是单独分析两组学生各自的词汇学习策略;接着比较分析两组学生在词汇学习策略使用上的异同。最后一章，是文章的结论部分，呈现了本研究的主要发现，并且提出对于音乐、舞蹈专业中职生的英语词汇教学的相关启示。
