摘要

该文旨在运用功能翻译理论分析当前国内饭店对外推介的英译文本所需实现的功能,并通过中英语言环境下的文化背景,及其文本写作方式的对比分析,指出目前饭店对外推介的写作及其翻译所存在的一些不足之外,即在实现饭店推销功能方面表现出来的种种错误,进而提出饭店对外推介的英译不应再以传统的忠实原文为指导,而应以实现其在目标语言环境下的各项推介功能为最终目标.
