2015年《经济学人》中财经专栏的翻译报告

摘要

本报告所选文本均摘自《经济学人》，具体为2015年几篇财经报道的文章。本报告可以分为四个部分，依次是翻译任务描述，过程描绘，案例研究和翻译总结。其中，第三部分是重点。该部分主要从词汇，句法和语篇三方面进行全面研究，并借用卡特福德的翻译转换理总结财经文本的翻译策略和翻译方法。
　　在词汇层面，作者探究了术语和专有名词的翻译策略，总结出“名从主人”为主，直译、音译为辅的翻译译名原则。对于缩略语的翻译，作者运用音译和意译两种方法进行处理。关于词性转换问题，作者在翻译转换理论的指导下，采用“转化”的翻译方法。在句法层面，对长句和复杂句，译者运用顺译，逆译和分译的方法进行翻译。对被动句，作者认为可将其翻译为无主句，主动句,被动句和因果句。在语篇层面，对于衔接和连贯，作者提出了衔接手段和省略，加词，转化三种翻译技巧。对于意象的处理，作者总结出了两种翻译方法，即意象的保留和意象的淡化。
　　笔者通过对《经济学人》进行深入的分析与总结，发现了财经类期刊的特点与规律，总结出了适宜的翻译策略和方法。笔者希望这些翻译策略和方法能够给广大商务人士和翻译人员提供参考与借鉴。
