从译者主体性角度对《西厢记》的两个英译本作对比研究

摘要

随着翻译研究的文化转向，很多学者开始研究和探讨译者的主体性，并且已经取得了一定的进步。《西厢记》被认为是中国元朝杂剧中最杰出的一部戏剧，世界各地的学者都对《西厢记》有浓厚兴趣，并尝试翻译这一杰作。目前，《西厢记》已经被翻译成很多种语言，如英语、法语、日语等等。其中，由我国著名翻译家许渊冲翻译的英译本以及奚如谷和伊维德一起翻译的英译本广受好评，很多学者研究他们的译本。本文以许渊冲的修订译本、奚如谷和伊维德的合译本为分析对象，研究译者在翻译《西厢记》的过程中所体现的译者主体性，并试图从译者主体性角度来探究造成两个译本差异的原因。
　　 本文首先简要介绍了《西厢记》的地位、作者以及关于《西厢记》及其英译本的情况，本论文研究的背景、目的和文章的结构。接着对国内外关于译者主体性的研究成果进行了综述。在此基础上进而阐述了译者主体性的定义和与之相关的理论。作者先从理论上阐明翻译的价值，然后通过案例分析来解说译者主体性在整个翻译过程中的体现，以及译者主体性的重要性。接着作者从原语文本的选择、翻译策略的选择、对原文本的理解以及表达的等方面，对两个英译本进行了比较和分析，进而探索造成两个译本异同的主体性因素。
　　 最后，本文尝试对于《西厢记》两个英译本中的译者主体性进行总结。译者的翻译目的、职业、语言的运用能力、社会和文化背景等主观因素构成了译者主体性的体系，并影响了每个译本的成果和风格。
